Project overview

Visit Wight Pro is the industry-facing side of Visit Isle of Wight — the hub for the businesses contributing to the Wight BID. Visit Isle of Wight needed a website that did more than present information: it needed to clearly demonstrate the value of the BID to levy payers and give contributing businesses a single, easy place to access every marketing resource, opportunity, and update their investment unlocks. We rebuilt the site entirely, designing it around the people it serves — Island tourism businesses who want to see exactly how their contribution is working for them.

The result is a far more user-friendly platform that turns a complex membership offering into clear, navigable sections, making it simple for businesses to promote themselves, access support and training, and stay connected with the campaigns driving visitors to the Island.

Challenges & constraints

The previous site struggled to communicate the breadth of what the BID delivers, and the resources available to contributing businesses were difficult to find and act on. With a major BID ballot on the horizon, it was essential that levy payers could clearly understand the impact of their investment — the impressions, sessions, audience reach, and trade events their contribution makes possible — and feel confident in how decisions are made and managed.

The challenge was to take a wide range of offerings — advertising opportunities, business support, training, governance documents, ferry trade rates, PR and campaign activity — and structure them into a single intuitive experience that worked for busy business owners rather than against them.

Project solution

We delivered a complete website rebuild focused on clarity, usability, and self-service. The new structure organises everything around what a contributing business actually wants to do: promote their business, access support and training, or understand BID administration and governance. Key marketing resources, advertising options, and opportunities are now grouped logically and reachable in a couple of clicks, while impact metrics and campaign activity are presented up front to keep the value of the BID visible at all times.

The site gives Visit Isle of Wight a professional, scalable platform that supports its industry community, reinforces transparency around the BID, and makes it easy for businesses to engage with — and get genuine value from — their investment. The rebuild positions Visit Wight Pro as a trusted, central resource for Island tourism businesses, built to grow alongside the BID.

Lets address your questions today!

Media House is a full-service boutique creative agency. We cover branding and identity, web design and development, digital marketing, content creation, social media management, PPC, and live broadcasting. In practice that means we can take a brand from strategy and positioning right through to broadcast-quality video, a high-performing website, and the campaigns that drive enquiries and bookings — all under one roof, working as an extension of your team.

It depends on scope. A focused piece of work like a content shoot or landing page can turn around in a couple of weeks, while a full website rebuild or brand identity typically runs over six to eight weeks. Ongoing partnerships such as social media management or retained content run month to month. We'll give you a clear, realistic timeline during the initial consultation so you know exactly what to expect before we start.

Absolutely. We work with founders, independent operators, and small teams as well as larger destinations and attractions. Our lean model means you get senior-level strategy and high-quality output without big-agency overheads, and we tailor the scope to fit your goals and budget — so the work makes commercial sense whatever your size.

Yes. We can audit, refine, and build on what you already have, whether that's improving design and usability, fixing performance and SEO, adding new functionality, or refreshing content. If a full rebuild is the better long-term option we'll tell you honestly — but we're just as happy improving an existing site where that's the right call.
