The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is one of the Island’s most-loved charities — a free-to-visit home for rescued donkeys at Wroxall, funded by donations, adoptions and its visitors.
For the past six months, Media House has run the Sanctuary’s Google Ads — putting it in front of the people already searching for things to do on the Island, and turning that attention into visits, adoptions and support for the charity’s work.
A charity attraction competes for the same searches as every paid attraction on the Island, but every pound it spends has to answer to the donkeys. The advertising had to be tightly targeted, carefully managed, and measured properly — reaching visitors planning their trip at the moment they’re deciding, without wasting charity money on clicks that go nowhere.
We built and manage the Sanctuary’s Google Ads programme end to end: campaign structure and keyword targeting around the Island’s visitor searches, ad copy that leads with what makes the Sanctuary special, and conversion tracking so the team can see exactly what the advertising produces — the same booking-source discipline we bring to every destination we work with.
Six months in, the programme runs continuously through the season, reviewed and optimised every month, with reporting the charity’s team can actually read.
