Luccombe Hotels is the family-run group behind two of Shanklin’s best-loved seafront hotels — Luccombe Hall, the award-winning ‘Best Hotel Experience’ on the Isle of Wight, and Luccombe Manor, its dog-friendly sister next door. Both trade year-round in one of the UK’s most competitive staycation markets.
Media House works with the group in two ways: we designed and built the hotels’ new websites, and we serve as the group’s official fractional CMO — senior marketing leadership embedded in the business, without the cost of a full-time hire.
Two hotels sharing a clifftop but not an audience: Luccombe Hall leads with family experiences, the pool and the spa; Luccombe Manor has built its name around dog-friendly breaks. Each needed its own voice online while still feeling like one group — and both needed websites that turn lookers into direct bookings rather than handing commission to the OTAs.
Beyond the websites, the group’s marketing had many moving parts — island and mainland press, ferry and tourism partnerships, sponsorships, influencer stays, seasonal campaigns — with no single owner accountable for all of it, or for what it returned.
We built each hotel its own website — booking-first, fast, and true to each property’s personality — so the Hall and the Manor each meet their guest the way they should, under one coherent group brand.
As fractional CMO, Media House runs the group’s marketing day to day: owning the annual marketing plan and budget, planning and buying media across island and mainland channels, managing the sponsorship and influencer-stay programmes, negotiating renewals with publishers and partners, and running seasonal campaigns end to end.
The directors get one accountable owner for the whole marketing operation, spend that is tracked line by line against what the hotels actually take, and weekly reporting on the numbers that matter — so every pound has a job, and every campaign answers for itself.
